Reflection 5

Wow what can I say except that out of all my online courses I have taken this has to be the most interesting and learning experience of them all. In the fall I will be taking 3 classes online and I think by taking this course will not only enhance my research knowledge but assist me in anything I do in school or work. The advantages of online classes is that for some who works 40+ hours as i do sometimes, I can come home and work at my own pace as long as i keep up, but it also has it draw backs like if you really need some help and the instructor may not be there or being able to turn to a classmate and request assistant. As i stated in my early blog I thought i was signing up for a easy course, but by no means was this an easy course, it was challanging and very informative. I really recommend this course to anyone who even thinks that they have research technique down, because trust me when you take this course you will find that you know nothing. TAKE THE COURSE!!!!!!

Good Luck to all in the Fall

Reflection 4 "Information R/Evolution"

Information Literacy, or Information Competency, briefly defined, is the ability to locate, evaluate, and use information to become independent life-long learners. I think that all competent students should be able to see the need for information or know how to get the infromation. As a competent student I learn to get proper inforamtion and choose the correct sources for inforamtion. How to retrieve the and evaluate the information from various databases or other means. I think that I may not still be the most competent student, but I'm a competent student in route to being the best.

Reflection 3

Well i thought when i choose this course it would be a breeze just the title "Library 3" makes you think how much could be required, well i was wrong. I have a new found appreciation for the any course that has "library" as a course. Since being in this class and doing all the research needed for each assignment has been a challange. As i stated before we always think that we know everything, but until you really have to apply your knowledge you find that there are more and better ways to research. I have always use the internet to do research by just typing in a keyword or phrase and what ever comes up i use, but taking this class has showed me a lot more ways and other avenues to use. From databases to various websites and most of all how to blog. Would i recommend this course, YES I say never under estimate a course with the title "Library"

Reflection 2

I think that looking at all that I have learned so far in this course and about libraries. I still feel the same as I stated in my first Blog. I never knew or thought about the importance of a library the way I have now. Doing the assignments for this course has given me the opportunity to really see just how useful and knowledgeable they can be. Also using the internet is convenient just that maybe you don't have the time to get to the library it gives just as much information to get what you need done. Having the internet also helps me communicate with others on various topics and you have discussions.
